It is the policy of M&S Electrical (UK) Limited to comply with the terms of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and all subsequent legislation, to undertake all reasonably practicable steps to ensure the Health, Safety and Welfare of all of its employees, sub-contractors, customers, the public and others who may be affected by our operations.
Our overall objective remains to minimize the number of instances of occupational accidents, illnesses and ultimately to achieve an accident-free workplace.
Part of the M&S Electrical (UK) Limited Company Mission Statement states:
“We aim to provide electrical installation & electrical maintenance services in the domestic, industrial and commercial market, which are safe, beneficial and adaptable and to exceed our customer’s needs.”
For our employees this means ensuring that Health & Safety is their number one priority in the way they operate. Everyone at M&S Electrical (UK) Limited understands that, whilst the management must do all that they can to ensure the health and safety of its employees and customers, as individuals we all have a responsibility to keep all necessary parties informed on all Health & Safety Issues and to work to rule following the guidance of the company Method Statements and Risk Assessments at all times.
Our Health & Safety policy says, as far as is reasonably practicable, M&S Electrical (UK) Limited, aim to provide:
> Systems of work that are safe and without risk to health
> Safe plant, machinery, equipment etc and ensure that it is maintained safely
> Arrangements for the safe and healthy use, handling, storage and transportation of machinery, equipment and substances
> All necessary information, instruction, training and supervision for health and safety
> Where possible a safe place of work and a working environment that is without risk to health and has suitable welfare facilities available
M&S Electrical (UK) Limited takes our responsibilities for Health and Safety very seriously. Our Health & Safety Policy is reviewed on an annual basis and we encourage input from all members of staff when reviewing policies and assessments and considering potential training requirements.
