The National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC) is the industry’s independent, non-profit-making voluntary regulatory body covering the whole of the United Kingdom. They are not a trade association and do not represent the interests of electrical contractors. The NICEIC’s sole purpose is to protect you, the customer, from unsafe and unsound electrical work. One of the conditions of enrolment with the NICEIC is that member’s work must comply with British Standard BS 7671 and all other relevant British Standards and Industry Codes of Practice.

M & S Electrical (UK) Limited have been registered N.I.C.E.I.C contractors and Domestic Installers since 1999 and as such our work is subject to regular inspections by N.I.C.E.I.C inspectors

All of our assessments have resulted in favorable reports for the company.

As registered members of the N.I.C.E.I.C we are able to self certificate our works as complying with Part P of The Building Regulations, where relevant.

Part P works are covered by the N.I.C.E.I.C. warranty insurance.

M & S Electrical (UK) Limited are proud to be a company which regularly offers Apprenticeships in Electrical Contracting.

All of our apprentices attend training courses at various local colleges under the supervision of our Training Provider J.T.L.

JTL was formed in 1989 by the Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA) and the Electrical Electronic and Plumbing Union (now Unite the Union) to manage training in the electrical sector.

In 2000 JTL became a company limited by guarantee with charitable status.

JTL is now the leading training provider to the building services engineering sector and the second largest work based learning provider in the country; supporting over 10,00 apprentices and over 3,500 employers.

JTL delivers more Advanced Apprenticeships than anyone else in the sector (around 75% of all electricians who qualify each year do so with their assistance).
